Your Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce Presents The 18th Annual Timber City Adventure Race!
The 18th Annual Timber City Adventure Race is a total of 25.1 mile Adventure Triathlon. It includes Canoeing/Kayaking, Biking, and Running.

There is both a Recreation Division and a Racing Division.
The Canoe/Kayak? is an 8 mi. course on the Maquoketa River beginning at Canton. You will wind below towering limestone bluffs and through secluded valleys on scenic route to Royertown Bridge access. This is the 2nd bridge you will come to. Exit on left side, carry canoe past clear zone, run up drive to get bike or tag biker if on relay team.

The Bike? A 14 mile course that starts with a challenging incline ? one of the steepest in Jackson County, continues with several rolling hills, a steep decline with sharp right turn at the bottom and long flats to gather speed. Biker must follow all traffic laws, including stop at Highway 61 before crossing. Helmets are required.

The Run? is a 5K (3.1 mile) mostly flat course starting at Hurstville Lime Kilns. Head south on old Highway 61, follow the signs and course directors through the turns in Maquoketa.

Water will be available at each exchange (and on run course). Volunteers will be stationed throughout the course.
Showers available at Maquoketa Area Family YMCA.
Towels will not be provided.
INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION:
Just you and the elements tackling all legs of the race!
TEAM COMPETITION:
2 PERSON TEAM: Consists of 2 members who do all legs of the race. Finish time is average of both members times. 2 Men, 2 Women, or Mixed.
4 PERSON TEAM: Relay style. All men, All women, or must have 2 women, 2 men for mixed class.

20-34
35-49

Racing Division- No age class
Individual, 2 person, 4 person teams
Cash prizes: Racing division only
Individual: 1st and 2nd place
2/4 person team: 1st and 2nd place
You cannot do both individual and team competitions.
**NEW** For the safety of our race participants, if you have family and friends offering race support, please advise them to stay OFF the race route with vehicles. Please take Baldwin back to Maquoketa and refrain from driving on the bike/run route. Thank you!

Race ends on Main Street in front of the Chamber Office, located at 124 S. Main Street, Maquoketa, IA 52060. You must provide your own equipment (bike, helmets, paddles [double bladed are allowed], life jackets, canoe, etc.) If canoe, life jacket and paddles are needed, for an extra $35 Maquoketa River Rentals will provide them. Register online ASAP as canoe rental is limited.
