About Us

This 273-acre park was bequeathed to Jackson County Conservation from Robert J Martin in 2013. The park is open to visitors and features hiking trails.

Prairie Creek Recreation Area is located SE of Maquoketa. You can access the park at three locations:
– One entrance at the corner of Summit Street and Jacobsen Drive in Maquoketa
– The other two are along 223rd Avenue

PLEASE DO NOT PARK on the street or on private property, use the parking lots provided.
