DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to participate in the annual Maquoketa Memorial Day Program on Monday\, May 29 at the Maquoketa Middle School Gym.\n\n\n\nClif Merrick\, American Legion Adjutant\, wil emcee the event.  Commander Gerald Weis will present certificates of longevity to recipients.  The Maquoketa High School Band\, under the direction of Ken Crawford\, will perform a musical selection.  Senator Tod Bowman will be the guest speaker.\n\n\n\nThe ceremony then proceeds to Mount Hope Cemetery for the salute to the nation's dead and the dignified disposal of unserviceable American Flags.
