SUMMARY:Iowa Watercolor Society Traveling Show
DESCRIPTION:The Iowa Watercolor Society (IWS) was organized in 1977 by a small group of enthusiastic watercolorists. We have members all over the state and even a few from other states. Each spring and fall\, we bring in nationally and internationally recognized artists to conduct\n\nworkshop(s). Recent instructors include: Soon Y Warren\, Michael Holter\, Frank Eber and Alexis Lavine. At the fall workshop\, along with its annual meeting\, IWS sponsors a juried exhibition with monetary awards. From this exhibition\, a 30-piece traveling show is selected to\n\ntravel\, throughout the following year\, to various locations around our state. At these shows\, our members often provide talks and/or small classes to introduce people to the medium of watercolor.\n\nWe conduct an online show once a year\, giving our members an opportunity to display and sell their artwork to a larger audience.
