He was part of the the Allied Forces in the liberation of Paris and then continued on for the push into Germany.  He was captured in November of 1944.  This is a moving\, very personal account of how Asher spent his 19th year that all ages will appreciate.  Come hear one of Maquoketa's own tell his story and give honor to all our veterans who have served.
